Synopsis

1943 reist Carson Shaw nach Chicago, um sich für die All-American Girls Professional Baseball League zu bewerben. Dort trifft sie auf andere Frauen, die auch davon träumen, Profi-Baseballerinnen zu werden. Max Chapman aus Rockford kommt ebenfalls zum Probetraining, wird aber abgewiesen. Mit der Hilfe ihrer besten Freundin Clance muss sie versuchen, ihren Traum auf andere Weise zu verwirklichen.
